I am new in to mixing tobaccos and I have found that all my mixes end up being sweet and with almost no tobacco flavor. Just some weird sweet mix. I know that VG is sweet, so I mix at 50/50. I tried a recipe that I created, and it wasn't really good. So to rule out my inexperience I mixed Hinterlander by Kopel and it still ended up being sweet. I am waiting to get bitter wizard from FA to see if it helps. I also tried adding to one of my own recipes Apple Cider Vinegar and it did not work.
Here is my recipe:
1.5% (FA) Black Fire
1.5% (FLV) Cured Tobacco
1% (FLV) Kentucky Blend
0.25% (FA) Oba Oba
2.5% (FLV) Red Burley
0.5% (FLV) Wood Spice
I know I added too quite a bit of Black Fire but I was hoping that it would kill the sweetness and bring out some smoky/ashy flavor that I am also looking for.
I also went full retard and tried this:
8% (FA) Black Fire
4% (FLV) Commercial Cigarette
0.25% (FA) MTS Vape Wizard
The recipe above is weird, it taste like sweet super smoky BBQ sauce. So I tried adding one drop of Apple Cider Vinegar in a 10ml bottle and it killed all the Smoky BBQ flavor from Black Fire and I ended up with a weird sweet mix.
I am also waiting to get DNB from Inawera but I am not sure if this will help with the sweet VG flavor.
I am not really sure what else to try to make it taste less sweet, even if the smoky/ashy part isn't there.
